Student Service Coordinator – RFK Community Alliance, Lancaster, MA (Job , Openings:

RFK Community Alliance provides high‑quality therapeutic day school services for students with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, mental health, and learning disabilities. The Academy supports students in reaching milestones such as graduation and transition to post‑secondary education or vocational opportunities while ensuring each student is Connected, Capable, and Healthy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, disseminate, and evaluate the daily schedule for staff assignments, including field trips, events, and activities.
- Maintain high visibility, monitoring ongoing student and building needs throughout the day.
- Supervise and evaluate Program Supervisors.
- Co‑plan and facilitate monthly Teacher Assistant meetings with the second Coordinator.
- Collaborate with staff to develop individual student support plans as needed.
- Provide feedback to Directors regarding individual teacher needs for guidance and growth.
- Model and maintain healthy boundaries and interactions with students.
- Demonstrate strong empathy, listening, praise, encouragement, limit setting, and clear expectations.
- Understand behavioral incident stages, identify triggers, and provide consistent interventions during crises.
- Communicate students about the significance of their behaviors and choices.
- Coordinate off‑campus trip approvals for students in assigned buildings.
- Collaborate with HR and the second Coordinator to interview and hire Teacher Assistants.
- Co‑develop summer activity schedules with the second Coordinator.
- Review student requests for campus independence/privileges.
- Support review of incident reports related to therapeutic holds and time‑outs.
- Lead investigations related to student complaints.
- Follow RFKCA personnel policies, reporting discrimination, harassment, or safety concerns to the AVP.
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, analyzing plans and tools from the PQI plan.
- Engage in annual required professional learning.
- Perform reasonable related duties as assigned by the AVP for Education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, or related field.
- Experience working with young people with disabilities or in the field of human services.
- Strong collaboration, inclusion, and learning orientation.
- Compassionate, collaborative, and resourceful individual committed to supporting students.
- Trauma‑responsive practices experience and ability to provide unconditional positive regard daily.
Mon‑Fri 7:00‑3:30
Physical Demands- Able to regularly stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Light lifting is required.
- Moderate noise.
- Ability to work in open and confined areas.

Salary Range$57,000 – $63,100 per year
