Part-Time Early College Adjunct Criminal Justice Faculty Member (Grant-Funded)

Roxbury Community College seeks a dynamic and experienced part-time adjunct Criminal Justice faculty member to teach college-level courses with dual enrollment high school students and Early College high school students in grades 9 through 12. The successful candidate will have prior experience working with high school students in a public school system, along with a master's degree in the criminal justice field.

* The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for teaching on campus and on site at high schools, and must demonstrate an understanding of high school protocols, including being a mandated reporter, using a seating chart, and implementing effective classroom management techniques.

* Teach college-level Criminal Justice courses to dual enrollment high school students and Early College high school students.

* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with college and high school curriculum standards.

* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success.

* Utilize varied instructional methods and technologies to enhance student learning experiences.

* Adhere to high school protocols, including mandated reporting, seating chart management, and classroom discipline procedures.

* Collaborate with high school and college faculty and staff to ensure seamless integration of dual enrollment programs.

* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and curriculum development initiatives as required.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

* Master's degree in criminal justice or a closely related field;

* Prior experience teaching criminal justice to high school students in a public school system.

* Additional experience teaching all college levels of criminal justice courses with dual enrollment high school students and Early College high school students.

* Familiarity with high school protocols, including mandated reporting, seating chart management, and classroom discipline procedures.

* Ability to teach on campus and on site at high schools.

* Proficiency in Google Suite and Office 365, as well as experience with learning management systems such as Canvas or similar platforms.

* Availability for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

* Three letters of recommendation, official college transcripts, and language proficiency demonstration required.
