EVENING USER SERVICES COORDINATOR, Library Access Services
The Alumni Medical Library, located on the Boston University Medical Campus in Boston's South End, is recruiting a collaborative, customer-service oriented professional to serve as our new Evening Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position leads a small team of student assistants in supporting evening and weekend shifts and the day-to-day activities of the department. In this key user services role, this position interacts and communicates positively and effectively with students, staff, faculty, co-workers, supervisor, and student assistants.
This position engages in collection maintenance activities and manages print and electronic course reserves. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday 12:30pm-9:00pm and Sunday 10am-6:00pm. The schedule shifts to Sunday to Monday 10am-6pm in June and July.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

- Lead a small team of student assistants in supporting evening and weekend shifts and day-to-day departmental activities.
- Provide front-line information support to library users via the front desk, phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Engage in collection maintenance activities and manage print and electronic course reserves.
- Interact with students, staff, faculty, co-workers, and supervisors in a positive and professional manner.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and two to three years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience can come from paid, volunteer, or internship experience.
- Some supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a collegial team and, after onboarding, independently with limited supervision.
