Pep Band Music Coach

Overview

Pep Band Music Coach - Part-time (10 hours/week), Seasonal (6 months) for the Boston College Bands Program. The position supports instruction and leadership for the BC Pep Band. Salary: $9,205.00.

• Provide instruction and leadership for the Boston College Pep Band, in alignment with the Marching Band Director’s musical technique and standards.
• Consult with the Marching Band Director to understand and incorporate musical technique and standards within the Pep Band.
• Attend and provide musical leadership at designated men’s and women’s basketball and hockey games.
• Be available for potential post-season tournament travel as needed.
• Support division and university-wide initiatives and staff events as required.

• A master’s degree in music or music education is preferred.
• Extensive experience instructing students in college ensembles.
• Must be available for Winter Sports Season (October through April).
• Must attend all rehearsals and performances.
• Must be available for post-season tournament travel.
