Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is one of Massachusetts' largest community colleges, serving approximately 16,000 students annually. P/T Tutor (Biology/Chemistry) – Tutoring & Academic Support

• Provide one-on-one or group support to students enrolled in science courses.
• Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic assignments.
• Demonstrate academic best practices for biology, chemistry, and related subjects, including research and writing.
• Help students understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
• Provide positive and constructive feedback.
• Build meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Attend staff meetings several times each semester.

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related area is required.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole in addition to English is desired.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to work with a faculty, staff, and student population.
• One tutor focusing mostly on biology, anatomy and physiology, and any health science disciplines is needed Monday and Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in-person on the Chelsea campus.
• One tutor focusing mostly on chemistry and organic chemistry is needed Monday–Thursday 4:00 pm–7:00 pm on the Charlestown campus; ability to also work online weekend hours is a plus.

• Master's degree is preferred.
• 1+ years of tutoring or related experience preferred.

Salary: $35.31 per hour at 16 hours per week. Part-Time Non-Benefited Position.
