Temporary Student Life Manager

.
* Supervise and mentor teams of approximately 15 Student Life Ambassadors (SLAs) across Oakland and Boston programs
* Support staff training and provide ongoing coaching to SLAs
* Create staff schedules and delegate responsibilities to ensure seamless program operations
* Foster a collaborative, student-centered team culture
* Build positive relationships with participants and create an inclusive community
* Provide responsive, professional support to students and families as needed
* Address student conduct matters with fairness and discretion, escalating issues appropriately
* Serve as a visible, approachable presence throughout the residential experience
* Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with Northeastern's standards
* Bachelor's degree required
* Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education, residence life, summer camps, teaching, counseling, or student affairs
* Experience managing events or programs
* Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or supervising direct reports
* Demonstrated experience with crisis management
* Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
* Current certification or openness to be trained in First Aid & CPR as well as Mental Health First Aid
* Very strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Student-centered approach with a strong sense of responsibility for student success and wellbeing
* ** Full availability from July 6 – August 7, 2026 is required
*** Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Flexibility to travel between Oakland and Boston campuses
* Enrollment in, or graduate of, a graduate program in a relevant discipline:
Higher Education, Student Affairs, Student Counseling, Secondary Education, or related field
* Experience counseling students and managing mental health crises
* Experience with pre-college or high school-aged populations
* Knowledge of student development theory and restorative practices
