Job DescriptionFull-Time Tenure Track Faculty Requirements: BHCC seeks Full-Time Faculty who demonstrate a passion for teaching and a desire to join faculty and staff to expand and create new strategies for student success. Candidates must be experienced with online and in-person pedagogies and be adept in the assessment of learning outcomes and in the use of technology in the classroom. Candidates should be passionate educators who can facilitate the needs of diverse learners.
Additionally, BHCC seeks faculty who value advising students and wish to contribute fully to the life of the College. Faculty may be assigned courses at one or more of the College's locations. Ability to instruct online is a plus.

Position
Description:
Full-time Engineering instructor in the Engineering and Physical Sciences Department. Primarily responsible for the teaching and curriculum development of courses in engineering.
- Teach introductory courses in mechanical/civil or electrical or biomedical engineering, and physics.
- Design and coordinate laboratory activities for engineering courses.
- Evaluate student performance in the classroom and laboratory setting using outcomes-based assessments.
- Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking skills.
- Develop instructional material consistent with course objectives.
- Participate in determining appropriate goals and objectives of engineering courses and assist in developing course standards.
- Use new technologies in the classroom to supplement instruction.
- Maintain expertise in area of teaching responsibility.
- Comply with all duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Masters' degree in Engineering required.
- Experience/credentials in Electrical Engineering preferred but qualified candidates with experience in mechanical/civil or biomedical engineering are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong laboratory skills required.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
- College-level teaching experience required; community college teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with artificial intelligence in the teaching learning process.
- Demonstrated experience teaching in an online format.
- Demonstrated experience supporting student retention as part of teaching and learning.
Salary: $77,965.00 - $81,831.00 (Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate with Education & Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.) Full Time State Benefited position.
