One PhD, post-doc, or instructor level position
DateLocation DescriptionAll, my name is Francesco Pasqualini, I recently moved from Boston (USA) to the University of Pavia in Italy where I am an associate professor of bioengineering. For my ERC project ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).), I am recruiting an expert in scientific computing to help us develop a framework for cell and tissue mechanics that is based on particle dynamics. The closest example of what I'd like to do can be found in this paper from Petros Koumoutsakos' lab at ETH:
The team will have experts in biology and mechanics to collect and analyze novel datasets using human stem cell-derived cell types but I need somebody versed in parallel programming on CPU and GPU, as well as the integration of multiple software packages to perform parameter identification and model validation.
If this challenge seems like something you'd like to tackle, please do reach out and we can discuss it further. I can open the position in a variety of academic or technical roles depending on the candidate preference. A competitive salary and great infrastructure are guaranteed.
Thanks, Francesco
