Lecturer, Romance Studies

College of Arts & Sciences, Boston University.

Position Overview

Full‑time Lecturer in Spanish, beginning July 1, 2026. Salary: $72,000.

Responsibilities

Teach six courses per year, ranging from beginning to advanced language and culture, coordinate multi‑section language courses, and contribute to curriculum development in a dynamic and collaborative language program. Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.

Qualifications
  • Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field.
  • At least three years of college‑level teaching experience demonstrating excellence.
  • Commitment to inclusive and innovative language teaching practices.
