Position Overview
Boston University School of Law invites applications for a part‑time lecturer to teach the Health Law Externship Seminar starting Spring 2027. The lecturer will work closely with experiential faculty to teach, supervise students, and help further develop the curriculum.
ResponsibilitiesThe lecturer will instruct students in a bi‑weekly two‑hour seminar that complements their field work.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering seminar instruction and facilitating discussions on professional responsibility, ethics, connections between substantive health law courses and practice, and reflective practice.
- Supervising student field work with placements at law firms, agencies, and corporations.
- Meeting individually with students to discuss goals, progress, and provide feedback.
- Collaborating with faculty to develop and improve the seminar curriculum.
- Experience working in health law; commitment to collaborative education.
- Preferred experience with clinical pedagogy.
- Teaching and supervision experience desired, though not required.
