Position Overview
Boston University School of Law is seeking a part‑time lecturer for its Health Law Externship Seminar (1‑credit), beginning in Spring 2027. The lecturer will work closely with full‑time experiential faculty to teach, supervise, and guide law students who are completing field placements in health law. The role may also involve further development of the semester curriculum.
Responsibilities- Conduct bi‑weekly, two‑hour seminars that complement students’ fieldwork.
- Teach and facilitate discussions on professional responsibility, ethics in health law, connections between substantive courses and practice, and reflective practitioner skills.
- Supervise students during their field placements, providing guidance and feedback.
- Meet individually with students to discuss goals, progress, and provide timely feedback.
- Connect students with experts in the field to provide diverse perspectives.
- Collaborate with faculty to refine the seminar curriculum.
- Experience working in health law.
- Commitment to collaborative education.
- Experience with clinical pedagogy is preferred.
- Teaching and supervision experience is not required but may be valued.
Salary: $2,175.00–$3,500.00 (part‑time).
Location:
Boston, Massachusetts. Required to work on campus.
