Community Day Charter Public School (CDCPS) seeks passionate paraprofessionals with outstanding academic backgrounds to work with our school teams, renowned for closing the achievement gap. CDCPS manages multiple campuses across Lawrence, MA, and serves 1,200 pre‑kindergarten to 8th‑grade students. We believe in providing our students with a rigorous student‑centered academic program while investing in their social, emotional, and holistic well‑being. CDCPS has dedicated teams to support our teachers, ensuring our students' success.
Responsibilities(including but not limited to)
- Provide small group or one‑on‑one behavioral and academic support to a specific student or small group of students
- Provide one‑on‑one student support based on specific needs outlined in the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations/modifications are being met in the inclusive classroom setting
- Assist the teacher in the day‑to‑day operation of the classroom
- Promote the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical talents of each child
- Participate in two‑week training in the summer, and during the school year, participate in a year‑long professional development series during early release days
- Provide coverage as needed
- Engage in all other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications- Uphold a passionate belief in CDCPS's mission, values, and educational model
- A high school (or equivalent) or GED diploma required
- Previous experience working with school‑aged children preferred
- Ability to demonstrate skills in collaborative planning and problem‑solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Knowledge of and experience with the implementation of developmentally appropriate strategies
