Part‑Time Childcare Access Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Campus Grant Coordinator
The BHCC CCAMPIS program is designed to serve student‑parents with financial need by partnering with Child Care Choices of Boston (CCCB) to offer financial assistance, resources and community‑based childcare placement for our student population. This part‑time position reports to the Division of Student Affairs and is responsible for providing vision, leadership and direction in the coordination of a comprehensive program consistent with the mission and goals of Bunker Hill Community College.
The coordinator will provide strategic recruitment, retention and success for Student Parents in collaboration with on‑campus and community‑based partners. The coordinator will be an active member of the Student Affairs Division and work closely with the Student Counseling Center, the campus food pantry (the DISH), Disability Services, Single Stop, Student Engagement and Leadership, Athletics, Veteran Services and other key campus partners.
This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. This position is located on‑site at the Charlestown campus.
Understand and foster student‑parent academic success by ensuring that all student parents receive appropriate and timely support, resources and referrals for personal, academic and success services.
Responsibilities- Maintain regular, proactive communication with a caseload of students currently receiving CCAMPIS childcare subsidies, providing check‑ins and support to ensure continued enrollment and program participation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with Childcare Choices of Boston (CCCB), coordinating on voucher distribution and resolving any issues related to student subsidies.
- Keep meticulous records on student progress and ensure all students are meeting grant eligibility and compliance requirements.
- Compile and analyze data from the program's four‑year history in support of final grant reporting.
- Develop outreach and promotional materials to advertise the CCAMPIS program to prospective student families.
- Keep an ongoing list of student parents at BHCC.
- Supervise scheduling and details of all events and facilities for programs for student parents.
- Create diverse outreach to student parents, using web and social media‑based resources to foster engagement at the college.
- Support student parents in connecting with resources to persist at BHCC (such as public child care vouchers, Mass Health, DISH).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
- Ability and skills for data tracking and meticulous record‑keeping.
- Interest in supporting student basic needs and student success in higher education.
Salary
: $36.55 an hour at 18.5 hours a week. Part‑time non‑benefited position. Grant funded position until September 30, 2026.
