- Operational Leadership and Facilities Management
- Manage daily school operations and facilities issues in collaboration with district staff.
- Monitor school attendance completion.
- Design and oversee administrative and lunch duty schedules, including supervision of staff and monitoring students during arrival, transitions, lunch and dismissal.
- Serve as the primary liaison for safety issues, safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and fire safety drills and promote awareness among school staff.
- Support event planning and logistics for internal events such as graduation, award ceremonies, admissions events, and special programs as assigned.
- Manage new‑student onboarding, orientation, and transition.
- Lead non‑instructional and operational decision‑making as a core member of the administrative team.
- Work with the office manager to monitor sub‑assignments, report card mailings, event invitations and beginning and end of school communications.
- Supervise substitute teachers, including arranging for coverage, and ensuring that substitute folders are up to date and available for monitoring and evaluating purposes.
- Work with the food service team to ensure the smooth function of school meals.
- Work with the Head of School to ensure the efficiency of operational systems.
- Ensure report cards/transcript accuracy, master calendar accuracy, Standardized assessments, and coordinate and supervise the administration of MCAS and MAP assessments.
- Other duties as designated by the Head of School and administrative staff.
- Student Support and Academic Advancement
- Work in close partnership with the Head of School as architect and implementation lead for culture‑building efforts and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Student Support Team (SST) to resolve student concerns.
- Co‑lead MTSS with the MTSS Coordinator and implement action‑oriented, data‑driven interventions for students facing attendance, academic, or conduct‑related challenges.
- Supervise and evaluate School Counselors, and staff responsible for student support systems.
- Analyze student data on a daily and quarterly basis to identify and support students in need.
- Coordinate academic and citizenship recognition ceremonies and awards.
- Support new‑student onboarding, orientation, and transition.
- Relational Accountability
- Follow through with school‑based disciplinary protocols, including the management of bullying, harassment, suspensions, and expulsions.
- Update and maintain student and staff handbooks.
- Establish and maintain a constructive relationship with the Faculty Senate and Student Council.
- Work individually with students to develop specific behavior plans and interventions.
- Leave to Learn Partnerships and Career Readiness
- Collaborate with the Director of Partnerships and School Counselor to cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, higher education institutions, and industry trades to create off‑campus learning experiences.
- Develop a sequence of career exploration opportunities such as job shadows, internships, and field trips.
- Negotiate new partnerships and evaluate the performance of existing ones to ensure they meet the school's mission.
