Full-Time/Regular (2‑year term with possibility for extension to full‑time; hybrid position with partial time on campus).

Salary Range

Grade 48; $71,925.00–$93,375.00

Job Description

The Training Manager will support the implementation of the Huron Grants and Agreements system by developing, implementing, and managing training guidance and processes that ensure compliance with accounting principles, sponsor requirements, state and federal guidelines, and University policies. The role reports to the Executive Director of Research Intelligence and Operations and ideally requires experience in research administration. The organization is adopting a new model to support school and central administrators, particularly onboarding new administrators so they have a solid foundation for success and to support faculty and their needs for strong grant and finance administrators.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver training programs for new and existing research administrators to integrate Huron system workflows.

Develop training materials and guidance documents to maintain compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training gaps and improve learning outcomes.

Monitor and assess training effectiveness and metrics.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute for education).
  • Experience in research administration, grant management, and/or training is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, sponsor requirements, state and federal guidelines, and university policies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional design skills.
