Eligibility

To participate in Berklee Student Employment a student must be a current student at Berklee College of Music or the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program. The summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled; in that case the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester.

The exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters. A valid United States Social Security Number, valid Visa status as applicable, and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA are required. Students in their first semester may work even before an official GPA is recorded. Federal Work Study students may apply. The candidate must be in good disciplinary standing and located in the U.S.

Job Duties

The Program Support Assistant provides operational and administrative support for Summer Programs.

Duties include:

  • Provide exemplary customer service when interacting with program participants and families. This may involve greeting participants and families, answering questions, directing traffic, and acting as a resource.
  • Assist program directors on the ground, including classroom assistance, monitoring jam sessions, and other program activities.
  • Run errands on campus as needed.
  • Perform general office support such as printing, organizing, and distributing student schedules and written music used as teaching materials.
Required Qualifications
  • Punctual, reliable, with a friendly and upbeat attitude. Lateness will not be tolerated.
  • Experience in customer service, especially face‑to‑face interactions.
  • Familiarity with Berklee campus and key buildings and offices.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Available for in‑person work at the Boston campus during the summer months.
