Biol Labs General Biology Lab; Adjunct Faculty

Overview

We are seeking an adjunct instructor for the Biology Department to teach Biol
113 Labs in person, starting September2,2026 and concluding December
19,2026.

Biol
113 – General Biology introduces basic principles of biology, including cell structure and function, biochemistry and metabolism, Mendelian and molecular genetics, and the theory of evolution. The course includes lecture and laboratory sessions.

• Deliver lectures and lead in‑person lab work for Biol
  113 Labs.
• Conduct labs on the following schedule: W 5:00‑7:50PM (BIOL
  113L‑07) and Th 8:00‑10:50PM (BIOL
  113L‑08).
• Grading labs:
  Provide lab grades immediately following each session.

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching biology courses.

• Experience teaching General Biology.

Compensation is $3,806 per section. This is a non‑benefits eligible adjunct position. Adjunct faculty are paid a set rate per course, which does not vary based on experience or education.
