Boston University invites applications for a full‑time, endowed, tenured professorship at the rank of Full Professor to advance the research and educational mission of the Mehrotra Institute for Business, Markets, and Society at the Questrom School of Business. The successful candidate will play a central role in building the Institute into a leading center for research, education, and public discourse on the role of business and markets in society.
Responsibilities- Maintain an exceptional and internationally recognized research program and contribute meaningfully to the development of distinctive research streams aligned with the Mehrotra Institute's mission.
- Provide outstanding teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the development of forward‑looking curricula for Questrom programs.
- Contribute to the Institute's broader intellectual agenda by helping to shape research initiatives, academic programming, and public‑facing activities.
- Demonstrate academic leadership and a strategic perspective on institutional development, collaboration, and field‑building.

- Social impact and the role of business in society
Ph.D. required. Candidates must currently occupy a tenured position at the associate or full professor level at a peer institution and demonstrate sustained research excellence, high‑quality teaching, and institutional leadership. Research support, teaching load, and benefits are competitive. Salary range for Full Professors in the Questrom School of Business is $213,000–$468,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
