Screen Scoring Department Assistant

Eligibility Requirements

• Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
• Enrolled at least half‑time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program
• Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN)
• Remain in valid Visa status as applicable
• Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first‑semester students may work before an official GPA is available)
• Federal Work Study student may apply
• In good disciplinary standing
• Must be located in the U.S.
• Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled; in this case the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters

Reliable student with strong music preparation skills required to assist with copying and librarian tasks for FS‑440 Advanced Orchestration, the Berklee Silent Film Orchestra class, and other Film Scoring Department duties as assigned.

• Strong organization and communication skills
• A thorough understanding of Film Scoring curricula through 6th semester courses
• Robust Finale and Sibelius skills preferred, as well as orchestration and music prep skills specific to Film Scoring

This position requires the ability to work from 11:00–2:00pm every Monday in the Fall semester. The hours are generally flexible but most often occur on Sundays due to scoring sessions the following Monday. The position lasts Fall and Spring. The Film Scoring Department Assistant reports to the Division Program Manager. Hourly Rate: $17.51. Hiring Manager:
