Overview

The position is a full‑time Visual Arts teaching role at Match Community Day, the elementary school of Match Charter Public School. The teacher will instruct Visual Arts classes across multiple elementary grades and help develop the elementary arts program.

Responsibilities
  • Refine curriculum and deliver lessons in Visual Arts for elementary students.
  • Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations, providing support to help students meet them.
  • Actively participate in Match’s coaching and professional development programming.
  • Assist with school programming during non‑instructional time as needed.
  • Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $61,812 – $98,899, based on prior teaching experience.

Benefits include 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.

Working hours:

7:00 am – 2:45 pm daily, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm on Wednesdays for professional development.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–3 years of prior experience as a Visual Arts teacher.
  • Hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license, or be eligible to obtain one within one year of hire.
  • Demonstrated skill in designing and delivering lessons.
  • Demonstrated skill in building effective relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Deep belief that all students can and will succeed.
  • Desire to continually improve their practice through feedback and implementation.
