Part‑Time Lecturer (Health Law Externship Seminar)
Boston University School of Law invites applications for a part‑time lecturer position to teach in the Health Law Externship Seminar, starting Spring 2027. The lecturer will work closely with full‑time experiential faculty to teach and supervise a 1‑credit seminar and will have the flexibility to further develop the existing curriculum.
The Health Law Externship introduces students to various practice areas within health law. Students complete fieldwork with licensed attorneys in law firms, agencies, and corporations and attend a bi‑weekly two‑hour seminar. The lecturer contextualizes student work, discusses professional responsibility and ethical considerations, links substantive health law courses to practice, and helps students become reflective practitioners. The lecturer will also meet with students individually to discuss goals, progress, and provide timely feedback.
Responsibilities- Teach and facilitate the bi‑weekly seminar.
- Supervise students during their 1‑credit practice placement.
- Provide individual student meetings to discuss progress and goals.
- Assist in the development and improvement of the seminar curriculum.
- Experience working in health law.
- Commitment to collaborative education.
- Preferred experience with clinical pedagogy.
- Teaching and supervision experience desirable but not required.
Location:
Boston, Massachusetts.
Salary range: $2,175.00–$3,500.00.

Part‑time.
