Safety Care Certification is a mandatory prerequisite for this position, and no compensation is provided for fulfilling this requirement.
PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION:
Extended School Year (ESY) offers specialized services to students with disabilities. The IEP Team determines the need to minimize regression and recommends services.

You are committing to the entire duration of the program, which may involve working at different sites. Flexibility in location is an essential requirement.
Program ScheduleThe instructional hours for students are 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 5 weeks from July 6 to August 7, 2026.
Teacher Responsibilities:
- Commit to working all 25 days of the program, including PD days.
- Work a 6‑hour day, 5 days per week, for 5 weeks.
- Attend Mandatory Professional Development (PD) on TBD dates.
- Review IEPs to determine eligibility and service delivery for rules‑based reading services.
- Communicate directly with families to schedule services.
- Create and schedule groups according to student level of need.
- Complete Progress Reports per ESY 2026 guidelines.
- Review IEPs to determine service delivery for rules‑based reading services.
- Schedule and provide pull‑out instruction using the Wilson Reading System per IEP goals.
- Plan lessons for 1:1 or small group instruction.
- Communicate with families about transportation and scheduling.
- Coordinate with previous teachers to understand current level.
- Support classroom teachers as per Site Coordinator instructions.
- Prepare cognitively demanding lessons, assignments, and enrichment activities (planning outside regular hours).
- Differentiate instruction.
- Establish a productive learning environment and classroom culture.
- Supervise safe arrival and dismissal of all students.
- Maintain timely attendance and progress records.
- Consult with related service providers to address students' needs.
- Provide data, monitor and report progress to prevent regression.
- Complete progress reports for all students on caseload.
- Participate in all scheduled professional development.
- Engage as a partner in planning and problem‑solving.
- Assess students referred for summer IEP meetings; provide written assessment results or attend meetings.
- Provide support during arrival and dismissal as directed by the site coordinator.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Director of Operations & Service Implementation.
