Job Description
The Nursing Lab and Simulation Assistant, reporting to the Lab and Simulations Coordinator, supports laboratory and simulation experiences for nursing students across all programs offered in the School of Nursing. The role involves developing and implementing curricula aligned with course objectives, coordinating simulation operations, and training faculty and instructional assistants.
Responsibilities- Assist with development and implementation of lab and simulation curricula that align with course objectives and program outcomes.
- Support the operation of simulations and facilitate open lab sessions.
- Train and educate faculty and instructional assistants on simulation use.
- Maintain, coordinate, and procure simulation equipment and supplies.
- Teach lab courses and provide open lab hours to support student skill practice in all nursing programs.
- Schedule flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Participate in advising and School of Nursing admission weekend events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess:
- Massachusetts nursing license in good standing.
- BSN and MS in Nursing.
- Minimum of five years full‑time nursing experience.
- Evidence of clinical competence.
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
- Experience advising, mentoring, or evaluating students in laboratory or online settings is preferred.
- Experience designing and facilitating high‑fidelity simulation.
- Academic and/or clinical teaching experience.
- Certified Health Simulation Educator (CHSE) or willingness to obtain certification.
- High‑fidelity simulator maintenance experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing practice.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under time constraints.
- Project management and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and Forms.
- Attention to detail.

Salary: $75,000–$90,000, based on qualifications and internal equity factors.
