High School Nature Leader

Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries.

Boston Nature Center is seeking an enthusiastic high school student who is passionate about nature and environmental justice to work within the Willow Tree Youth Leader Program. During the school year, Youth Leaders assist with nature-themed public programs, lead informational tables at local community events, help maintain the nature center trails and property, and more. This position also collaborates with other groups as part of Mass Audubon's Youth Climate and Leadership Program by participating in educational outings and professional development.

During school vacation weeks and in the summer months, this position works as a Camp Counselor at Boston Nature Center's summer camp, teaching nature-based lessons, facilitating activities, and supervising campers. In this position, Youth Leaders work for 8 to 12 hours per week during the school year, typically on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Please submit a resume and cover letter with your ADP application.
