Principal Trainer

Position Summary:

The Certified Principal Trainer leads all elements of training, planning, design, development, and implementation for designated application in the Epic EMR implementation project. Under the supervision of the training manager, The Principal Trainer will independently work closely with their application team and work groups to understand workflows that have been designed and the major points to stress in training. The Principal Trainer will customize training materials and builds, and tests in the training environment.

Is responsible for training classroom trainers, super users and assisting with and providing Go-live support

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Leads all elements of training, design, development, and implementation for designated applications in the Epic Project Implementation.

Responsible for build and updating the training environments (MST, , PREP, ACEs, PLY)

Assists training manager with training strategy for designated applications. Problem solves complex tasks and responsibilities

Participates in the development of training policies and requirements for designated application

Complete the training tasks outlined in the training project plan

Leads the development of detailed, workflow-based curriculum for designated applications

Leads building, testing, and maintaining the training environment for designated applications

Develops appropriate level of proficiency measure for training

Deploys instructional methods based on type of learning, learner needs/preferences, and available resources

Train credentialed trainers, super users, on assigned applications

Champions the project

Provide post go-live coaching and support

Completes required status reports and attends required meetings

Maintains confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored or access by the system

Complies with all BILH Policies

Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the project

Certification:
Must be active in one or more of the following applications.

Orders, Inpatient Clin Doc, or Ambulatory Must have successfully participated in at least three epic implementations working in the assigned application in the role of a PT.Must be able to train and mentor new PT’sSkill and experience in adult education
