Boston Public Schools seeks a highly qualified ESL Teacher to join our community. We are committed to high expectations for achievement, equitable access to instruction, and closing achievement gaps. BPS offers a supportive environment that values creativity, innovation, and skills development.
Responsibilities- Provide ESL instruction to Multilingual Learners identified as English Learners.
- Collaborate with content teachers to support students' English language development and classroom needs.
- Work with instructional leadership to ensure ELL students receive necessary support.
- Assist with ACCESS administration and ELL student transition meetings.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with WIDA standards, catering to varying proficiency levels.
- Use culturally relevant practices and integrate technology into instruction.
- Administer state and local assessments for ELL students as appropriate.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with ELL strategies.
