VIOLIN/VIOLA PRIVATE LESSON TEACHER, After School Music Program
Beginning September 2026
Kingsley is looking for a PRIVATE LESSON VIOLIN/VIOLA TEACHER, After School Music Program for beginning & intermediate students Grades P4-6 (ages 4-12). (Please note that experience working with and teaching very young students is required for this position.)
We seek teachers with a holistic approach to education that emphasizes the importance of thorough approach to teaching sight reading, music theory, composition, ear training, aural analysis, and best practices when working with young students. Students will be encouraged to perform in recitals that take place throughout the year and will learn to take ownership of their own practice regimen, as well as develop a vocabulary for guided self-critique.
Hours vary between 3-6PM Monday-Friday based upon enrollment and teacher availability. Lesson teachers will give one-on-one weekly lessons to each of their scheduled students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music degree
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
