Location: Boston, MA. This position requires in-person work at least 2 days per week.

Schedule: Full-time. Occasional evenings and weekends are required.

About Leadership Brainery

Leadership Brainery supports college students who have limited access to master's and doctoral degrees. This includes students who: (1) are the first in their families to pursue graduate education, (2) come from low‑income backgrounds, or (3) are from under‑resourced communities.

Position Overview

The Graduate Admissions & Aid Manager leads Leadership Brainery’s work in preparing prospective graduate students, particularly those in the Leadership Brainery Ambassador Fellowship (LBAF), to navigate the admissions and financial aid process from exploration through submission and beyond. This includes supporting students across various disciplines, including STEM, Health & Medicine, Law & Policy, Business & Finance, and Education, Arts, & Humanities.

This role blends coordination of five industry‑specific graduate school admission coaches, high‑quality advising, structured program delivery, and the development of accurate, student‑centered resources. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in graduate admissions and financial aid, excels at translating complex processes into accessible guidance for students from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds. They are highly organized, proactive, and systems‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts across students, coaches, timelines, and program deliverables.

This person is comfortable building structure in evolving environments and approaches work with initiative, sound judgment, adaptability, and strong problem‑solving skills.

This is a manager‑level individual contributor position that reports to the Director of Programs.

Key Responsibilities Program & Project Management
  • Serve as the lead admissions coach and advisor for the LBAF, guiding participants through all five phases of the program.
  • Manage the coordination of five industry‑specific coaches paired with students for admissions support.
  • Collaborate with the Programs team to integrate admissions and aid content into the LBAF curriculum and related initiatives.
  • Translate program goals into clear timelines, deliverables, and tracking systems.
  • Partner with the Development and Policy & Research teams to align messaging and student‑facing materials.
  • Collect and analyze program data to measure outcomes and continuously improve the student experience.
  • Identify recurring student challenges and recommend process improvements to address them.
Graduate Admissions & Financial Aid Advising
  • Stay current on admissions trends, standardized testing updates, and financial aid policies to inform advising and program design.
  • Support students during the 3‑day Graduate School Summit to strengthen their commitment to graduate education and build networks with recruiters, leaders, and peers.
  • Provide one‑on‑one coaching to help students define career goals, research programs, and map their path to admission.
  • Hold office hours to guide Ambassadors through the LBAF Program and track milestones.
  • Connect students with professional test prep and admissions coaches, and hold students accountable for completing assignments to ensure they stay on track for GRE, GMAT, LSAT, or MCAT exams and Final date to receive applicationss.
  • Lead advising and workshops during the 2‑week intensive to help students craft competitive applications, prepare for admissions interviews, and identify scholarship opportunities.
  • Provide expert feedback and revisions on personal statements, essays, and other graduate application materials.
  • Coach students to articulate their stories effectively and connect their goals and experiences to the missions of graduate programs.
  • Guide students in evaluating admissions offers, financial aid packages, and matriculation steps for successful enrollment.
Resource Development
