The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. We will consider strong candidates in any research area but will prioritize Artificial Neural Networks.
QualificationsA PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The candidate should have a strong record of research, an ability to secure external funding, and a commitment to teaching excellence.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate is expected to establish a highly recognized, robust, externally funded, and independent research program. They will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise and contribute to programmatic and departmental service.
Compensation and BenefitsUMass Boston offers a competitive salary and start‑up package. Pay is approximately between $80,000 and $126,000, with the possibility of salaries above the published range for exceptional candidates.
