Teach one‑on‑one private lessons to beginning and intermediate students (Grades P4‑6, ages 4‑12) during after‑school hours, typically 3–6 PM Monday‑Friday. Encourage students to perform in school recitals and develop ownership of their practice regimen, as well as a vocabulary for guided self‑critique. Provide a holistic learning experience that includes sight reading, music theory, composition, ear training, and aural analysis.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music degree
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi‑age learning environments
- Experience with and teaching very young students (ages 4‑12) is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
Private lesson teachers are compensated at $65 per hour. Kingsley values equitable compensation for all employees.
