Job Description
- Works with the Program Director to ensure course alignment with instructional methodology, assessment, and core alignment.
- Delivers didactic instruction in the classroom with the support of the learning management system, Blackboard, in the BS in Healthcare Management and Technology program in multiple formats.
- Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, and conveys policies in line with those of the school, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria.
- Supports course development by creating, delivering and assessing engaging assignments that demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered.
- Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials, complete grading, and communicate with students.
- Advises and assists students through posted office hours or scheduled appointments by video conference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms.
- Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required:
- Must be able to teach in-person and in the classroom at the Boston campus.
- Masters in health data analytics, health informatics, health administration, or closely related field (doctorate preferred)
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in healthcare informatics, preferably focusing on administrative or operational informatics
Preferred
- Teaching experience at the college/university level
- Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
