The most impactful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of apathy — but because you know they re capable of reaching the full mark, and lowering expectations is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates with you, continue reading. If it feels overly strict, this position will likely be a poor fit.

Students at Alpha don t passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role is to ensure three core commitments are fulfilled for every child in your group: they enjoy school, they progress at 2x the rate, and they acquire skills that no traditional curriculum provides. You ll also develop the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.

Data informs every choice, and every interaction is in-person. Your time divides between your own student group and the Guides under your leadership — and the expectation remains consistent for both: documented advancement, without compromise. When a Guide s session under performs, you don t draft a memo; you observe, discuss, and resolve it by day s end.

You ll observe reserved students present with confidence to adults. You ll encounter a learner who once "despised school" requesting extra time. And you ll recognize that the expectation you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because upholding standards is how you demonstrate belief in someone s potential.

You may be establishing a completely new campus from the ground up and setting the foundational culture that will characterize the institution. As the site grows, your emphasis transitions from operational startup mode to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that expands Alpha s approach across your area.

If this opportunity appeals to you, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with students in grades K-8, covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha s established framework
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app targets through developmentally appropriate incentives including school currency and performance leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via direct observation, focused feedback, and practical training so they execute workshops with equivalent enthusiasm and accuracy
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint learners requiring support, then providing that intervention directly
  • Personally mentoring your designated student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational approaches you require from all Guides
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum materials. Students progress via adaptive applications; your responsibility is to make the people supporting them exceptional.
  • Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You re 80% motivator, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard was your goal, this isn t the right role.
  • Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you ll have institutional support to maintain that position.
  • Spending time in an office managing administrative tasks. The majority of your workday involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance evaluation. Data is accessible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
