The Coordinator of Pre-college Programs supports the day-to-day student experience and operational logistics for Wentworth’s pre-college programs, with a particular emphasis on student engagement, residential coordination, and program operations. Working closely with the pre-college team, this position helps create a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment where middle and high school students can successfully transition into and participate in a college-based summer or academic-year programs.
This role is responsible for coordinating key aspects of the student experience, including marketing and communication support, housing logistics, student support, and the implementation of co-curricular and programmatic activities. The Coordinator also works collaboratively with campus partners such as Housing and Residential Education, Center for Student Life, Wentworth Police, Dining, and academic departments to help ensure programs run smoothly and students are supported throughout their time on campus.
The Coordinator serves as an important point of contact for students, families, and program staff and plays a central role in fostering a student-centered experience grounded in care, responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail.
Essential Functions- Coordinate the day-to-day logistics and student experience for pre-college programs, with an emphasis on residential operations, student support, and program implementation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students and families before and during programs, providing timely communication, guidance, and customer service.
- Support student arrival and departure processes, including check-in, check-out, move-in, move-out, room assignments, and distribution of program materials.
- Coordinate housing-related logistics in partnership with the Office of Housing & Residential Education and other campus offices to help ensure a safe, organized, and positive residential experience.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of student policies, procedures, behavioral expectations, and community standards.
- Support student engagement efforts through the coordination of co-curricular activities, evening programming, community-building opportunities, and other aspects of the students' experience outside the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with campus partners to support smooth daily operations and timely resolution of student and program needs.
- Monitor and respond to student concerns as they arise, escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to a supportive and student-centered environment.
- Assist with program scheduling, space coordination, supply management, meal logistics, and other operational details necessary for successful program delivery.
- Support enrollment and administrative processes including application review and onboarding support.
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and supporting temporary staff, student workers, or interns who contribute to program operations.
- Participate in evening, weekend, and peak program period responsibilities, including on-call or on-site support as needed.
- Contribute to post-program assessment and program review to support continuous improvement.
- Participate in evening and weekend programs as needed.
- Support other related projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
