The most effective leaders understand that success is not defined by their own achievements. It is defined by the accomplishments of those they lead.
If you have a proven record of developing high-performing teams, elevating people beyond their own expectations, and excelling in cultures where high standards are non-negotiable, this position allows you to deploy those capabilities in service of the next generation.
At Alpha, students do not sit through traditional lectures. Academic mastery happens through adaptive technology, freeing Guides to focus on coaching, accountability, motivation, and essential life skills. As a Lead Guide, your role is to develop the team that powers this approach—coaching Guides, cultivating emerging leaders, and establishing an environment where students routinely surpass expectations.
This is not a role focused on instructional coaching, nor is it traditional classroom teaching. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures—there are none. Instead, you will cultivate a culture of excellence by coaching your team, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students to pursue ambitious goals. Your performance will be evaluated based on student experience quality, team outcomes, and your ability to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to meet them.
Alpha is creating the world's leading K-12 experience. That demands leaders who have already demonstrated the ability to elevate others' performance, make decisions grounded in objective data, and champion bold innovation over outdated convention. If that resonates with you, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.
This position is currently available at select Alpha campuses:
Greenwich, CT;
Boca Raton, FL;
Miami, FL;
Miami Beach, FL;
Boston, MA;
Raleigh, NC;
New York City, NY;
Orange County, CA; and Santa Barbara, CA.
If you reside in one of these regions—or are open to relocation we encourage you to apply. Candidates outside these areas who bring exceptional qualifications are also welcome. As Alpha expands, we frequently connect outstanding leaders with emerging opportunities across our growing campus network.
