The History Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in early modern or modern Chinese history, starting September 1, 2027. A Ph.D. in History or a closely related field and an active research agenda with demonstrated teaching excellence are required.
The successful candidate will teach a 2-2 load, including undergraduate surveys in Chinese and East Asian history, and contribute to graduate MA tracks (online and in-person).
