Instructional Designer – Training & Performance Solutions
A company is looking for an Instructional Designer to conduct in-depth job-task analysis and/or needs assessment to determine training solutions and other performance enhancement solutions. In this role, you will develop individual training program goals, overall program objectives, and module objectives. You will work with a variety of subject matter experts to design training curricula and programs, considered moderately complex in nature.
You will use template-oriented eLearning applications in a sophisticated manner to design interactive eLearning products and design evaluation strategies to validate that learning outcomes are achieved.

Requirements for the role:
- Proficient in Articulate 360
- Ability to conduct in-depth job-task analysis and/or needs assessment to identify learning objectives and determine training solutions
- Ability to consult with various team members to develop training program goals, objectives, and module objectives
- Knowledge of instructional design theory to design course content working with subject matter experts, management, trainers, and eLearning specialists
- Ability to create new training programs from scratch with some manager guidance, starting with formal analysis of training needs
- Knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, and audience location
- Experience designing for traditional classroom, online classroom, self-paced eLearning modules, or blended approaches
- Ability to research, select, and modify existing training curriculum, content, materials, and job aids
- Experience reviewing program evaluations, test results, and participant/manager feedback to make recommendations for program improvement
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
- 3–5+ years of relevant instructional design experience
- Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Preferred Qualifications (Optional Skills):
- Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of the insurance industry
- Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of Underwriting
