Program and eligibility
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory olled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN). Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester. Federal Work Study student may apply. Community Assistants (HCAs)
Housing Community Assistants (HCAs) are employed to work in the Office of Housing and Residential Education to assist with administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The student employee will: perform administrative tasks. HCAs will work with the Housing Office staff on administrative tasks. This may include lockouts, filing, answering phones, and acting as a referral agent in the Housing Office. assist with opening and closing procedures. HCAs will assist with key packets, room checks, crowd control, and other move-in related functions. work as a team member.
It is essential that HCAs work closely with each other, the Residence Education team, and other university partners such as food services, maintenance, front desk staff, and public safety.
Time Commitment and Training Expectations: HCAs are required to attend all training and should not make flight reservations or other vacation plans that may conflict with training. HCAs will be given specific dates and times for training for personal scheduling/planning purposes. Each HCA will be responsible for a maximum of 10 office hours each week and will work with the Assistant Director for Residential and Housing Operations or their designee to create a schedule.
Application RequirementsApplication Requirements:
The student employee must: have lived in an on-campus facility for at least one academic semester and plan to live on campus for the semester in which they are employed be in good standing with Berklee (academically, community standards, financially, etc.) maintain a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA

Student Worker 2, $16.97/hour
