Job DescriptionAssistant Coach's Women's Softball
Reporting to the head women's softball coach, the assistant women's softball coach will help provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of a competitive program. This includes:
- Strong ability to assist in providing overall leadership of the women's softball program
- Proven recruiter and evaluator at Division I, II or III level
- Ability to foster a strong and positive culture within the program
- Maintain high level of academics
- Assist with the management of coaching, team practices, competitions, road travel, scheduling, workouts, academics, and life-skills
- Assist in managing the program budget and team travel
- Ensure compliance with all department policies and guidelines
- Comply with all applicable Boston College, ACC, and NCAA rules, guidelines, and policies
- Represent themselves in a manner consistent with positive representation of Boston College
- Opportunity within University guidelines to assist in the management, hosting, and executing softball camps and clinics at Boston College
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $67,350 to $84,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements- A Bachelor's Degree is required
- Proven softball coaching experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni
- Proficient computer skills
- Two plus years successful coaching experience preferably at a collegiate level or club level
