Trainer Development and Quality Specialist

The Children's Trust is seeking a Trainer Development and Quality Specialist (Training Program Coordinator II) to join our team of dedicated staff. The Trainer Development and Quality Specialist plays a key role in strengthening the capacity, quality, and effectiveness of the family support workforce across Massachusetts to advance child abuse and neglect prevention. This position designs, delivers, evaluates, and continuously improves trainer development, workforce development, and quality assurance initiatives that equip trainers and family support professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train the family support workforce in support of statewide child abuse and neglect prevention efforts
  • Train other trainers to deliver training content to the family support workforce, including training trainers to deliver proprietary content such as FAN
  • Develop and facilitate engaging learning experiences across multiple delivery formats, create and update curricula informed by current research and emerging workforce needs, and use data and evaluation findings to strengthen training effectiveness and learner outcomes
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation of new trainers
  • Develop and implement processes to assess training effectiveness, participant experience, learner engagement, and emerging training needs through surveys, assessments, feedback collection, and other evaluation methods
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, share findings, and support alignment between training activities, workforce needs, program implementation, evaluation efforts, and strategic priorities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience facilitating trainer certification and/or train the trainer processes
  • Experience delivering training to participants with a diverse range of experience and education
  • Knowledge of child abuse and neglect prevention and/or family support
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in working with families with young children
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with diverse stakeholders and staff
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Association for Infant Mental Health Endorsement
  • Learning Management System (LMS) and/or instructional design experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Training certification in evidence informed training curricula
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel within/around Massachusetts
