Match Education seeks an Upper Elementary Special Education Teacher to provide rigorous, individualized instruction to diverse learners in our Boston charter school. You will design and deliver standards-based lessons, develop and manage IEPs, and use data to drive interventions and progress monitoring. Collaborating closely with general educators, families, and support staff, you will ensure access to a challenging curriculum, maintain a warm, structured classroom, and embrace our mission of educational equity and college success for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver standards-aligned instruction for upper elementary special education students in a charter school setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families, specialists, and general education teachers
  • Use data to track progress, differentiate instruction, and adjust interventions for diverse learners
  • Provide intensive academic support, small-group instruction, and accommodations to ensure access to rigorous curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan inclusive practices and co-teaching models
  • Communicate regularly with families about student goals, progress, and supports
  • Participate in professional development and coaching focused on urban education and educational equity
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with special education laws and school policies
