AP World History​/World History Teacher

Match Education seeks an AP World History/World History Teacher to deliver rigorous, culturally responsive instruction in a mission-driven Boston charter school. The teacher will plan and teach AP and standard World History courses, align lessons to College Board and state standards, use data to drive instruction, and provide targeted support, including tutoring, to diverse urban students. Responsibilities include managing a structured classroom, maintaining strong family communication, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to ongoing school improvement and equity-focused initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver AP World History and World History lessons aligned to College Board and state standards.
• Use assessments and data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Provide targeted academic support and tutoring to students needing additional help.
• Create and maintain a structured, engaging, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, interventions, and school-wide initiatives.
• Integrate educational technology to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Participate in professional development, coaching, and reflective practice.
• Contribute to the school's mission of educational equity and college readiness.
• Maintain accurate grades, records, and compliance with school policies.
