Position SummaryBBTE is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teachers to support preschool and school-age programs. Teachers provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while supporting children's academic, social-emotional, and physical development. This role works closely with families, school staff, enrichment partners, and Pariva Health clinicians to support children with diverse learning needs. Successful candidates are committed to professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality educational experiences.
EssentialResponsibilities Child Supervision & Safety
- Provide active supervision and maintain a safe environment.
- Follow all Massachusetts EEC regulations, including staff-to-child ratios.
- Manage attendance, transitions, and authorized pick-up procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete required documentation.
- Implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
- Lead enrichment in STEM, literacy, arts, fitness, and social-emotional learning.
- Support homework and academic success for school-age students.
- Promote positive behavior using restorative and inclusive practices.
- Maintain organized, welcoming learning spaces.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
- Collaborate with enrichment providers and Pariva Health clinicians.
- Participate in staff meetings, EEC trainings, and professional development.
- Maintain attendance, incident reports, and required documentation.
- Assist with classroom setup, snack service, cleanup, and daily operations.
- Follow all BBTE policies and EEC licensing requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with preschool and/or school-age children.
- EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher qualification preferred.
- Completion of EEC 2.0 Virtual Trainings (or willingness to complete).
- Strong communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting.
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience in EEC-licensed or Out-of-School Time (OST) programs.
- Experience supporting neurodivergent learners.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Monday–Friday before-school, after-school, or split shifts.
- 10–25 hours per week based on program needs.
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience, education, and EEC certification.
Employees must meet all Massachusetts EEC requirements, including Background Record Checks (BRC), fingerprinting, mandated reporter responsibilities under M.G.L. Chapter 119, Section 51A
, required trainings, and ongoing professional development.
