In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled.
  • In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester.
  • This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

The Center for Liberal Arts and Sciences Tutoring is seeking a reliable French language tutor who will tutor students currently enrolled in French courses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a French language tutor, you will be expected to work with students currently enrolled in French courses.
  • You will create your own availability and stick to it reliably.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • be fluent in the language you will tutor in
  • be currently enrolled as a Berklee student (you cannot tutor after you graduate)
  • have a GPA over 2.0
  • be reliable and able to communicate with the course professor whenever scheduling issues or conflicts come up

Expected Hours Per Week: 6-8 hours per week.

Hours can vary unexpectedly because they are dependent on unpredictable student enrollment.

Expected dates and times of shifts: 9am-5pm, but flexible: tutors can include some early mornings, evenings, and even weekends if it works best for their schedule.

Hourly Rate: $17.51
