Graduate Pedagogy Assistant
The Voice for Non-Majors Graduate Pedagogy Assistants work with a supervising faculty member to support instruction for non-majors at the Conservatory who are interested in learning the fundamentals of voice technique and singing performance. This employment opportunity takes place through the Voice for Non-Majors course.
Graduate Pedagogy Assistants will manage syllabi and classroom materials and take attendance for their classes. Under the guidance of a supervising faculty member, they will explore technical concepts, select and coach repertoire and styles, and give feedback on in-class performances. This job is on-campus.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Currently enrolled in either the MFA in Musical Theater Vocal Pedagogy or the MM in Vocal Pedagogy at the Conservatory
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with a range of levels of interest and skill
- Ability to strengthen the confidence of students in the class
- Experience working with singers on voice fundamentals
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Classroom experience is a plus
Hourly Rate: $20.60
