Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South's Ameri Corps Workforce Development Coordinator program prepares young people for success by providing meaningful opportunities in career exploration, work-based learning, financial literacy, and college and career readiness. Ameri Corps members serve as mentors, educators, and workforce development leaders, helping youth build the skills, confidence, and experiences needed to achieve their goals and pursue great futures.
Serving youth across Boys & Girls Clubs in Brockton, Dorchester, Fall River, Marlboro, Marshfield, Plymouth and Taunton implementing high-quality after-school programming connecting young people to real-world opportunities. Volunteers deliver engaging lessons and experiences focused on professional skills, resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, workplace expectations, money management, and post-secondary planning.
- Build supportive environments where youth feel strong sense of belonging, develop leadership skills, and recognize their potential. Coach youth through goal setting, encourage positive decision making, and provide individualized support to help participants overcome barriers and navigate pathways toward employment and education.
