Position Title: Student Success Project Lead

Position Summary

The Student Success Project Lead is an advanced student leadership position supporting strategic initiatives designed to improve student engagement, resource navigation, and success in foundational gateway courses. Working under the Academic Success Technology Coordinator, the Project Lead provides project coordination, supports outreach and communication strategies, contributes to workshop design and facilitation, develops student-facing resources, and helps coordinate activities across participating Care Units.

This Level III position provides an advanced work-based learning experience for a student prepared to demonstrate significant independence, leadership, professional communication, project coordination, and technology skills.

  • Support the supervisor with organizing student-success project materials, schedules, and routine task lists.
  • Compile approved participation data, outreach records, and status information for supervisor review.
  • Prepare draft spreadsheets, presentation materials, and routine project documents using established templates.
  • Assist with student communications and follow-up using supervisor-approved language.
  • Help coordinate logistics for on-campus student-success activities and meetings.
  • Flag questions, exceptions, or issues for professional staff rather than making program or student-service decisions independently.
  • Currently enrolled at Roxbury Community College for the  academic year.
  • Have an active Federal Work-Study award and sufficient remaining FWS eligibility before beginning work.
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in accordance with institutional and financial-aid requirements.
  • Complete all required student-employment and payroll documentation before beginning work.
  • Work only the approved FWS schedule and duties assigned by the designated RCC supervisor.

  • Demonstrated reliability, judgment, accountability, and professionalism.
