Help Train the Next Generation of Controls Technicians
The Center for Smart Building Technology (C4
SBT) at Roxbury Community College is seeking experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Controls professionals to serve as part-time instructors in our 450-Hour Building Automation Systems Certificate Program.
We are looking for professionals with hands-on field experience installing, programming, commissioning, or troubleshooting building control systems who are interested in sharing their expertise and helping train the next generation of BAS technicians.
Courses are taught in the evening, making this an ideal opportunity for working BAS technicians, system integrators, and building engineers who want to teach part-time while continuing their work in the field.
Teaching experience is not required. Many of our instructors come directly from industry and bring their real-world job-site experience into the classroom.
About the BAS Training Program
The 450-hour BAS Certificate Program prepares students for careers in:
- Building Systems Specialist
- Building Automation Programmer
Students learn through hands-on lab work, system troubleshooting, equipment installation, and real building automation scenarios using industry-standard equipment.
The program focuses on practical skills used in the field, not just theory.
BAS Courses May Include:
