About the role
The Facility Safety Program Manager at Reworld SEMAS will oversee regulatory compliance, training, and implementation of safety policies, accident investigation, VPP efforts, and other safety program initiatives. The role reports to the Facility Manager and has one direct report. It is a full‑time, on‑site position in West Wareham, MA.
Responsibilites- Monitor regulatory compliance and Reworld safety program requirements.
- Conduct accident investigations and documentation.
- Lead OSHA VPP efforts and other safety training initiatives.
- Implement, motivate, educate, and enforce Reworld’s safety and health policies.
- Oversee contractor safety and health performance, ensuring proper training and equipment.
- Conduct formal and informal safety inspections and follow‑up reporting.
- Manage accident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting.
- Coordinate fire system inspection, testing, and functionality with plant personnel and contractors.
- Serve as primary contact with the plant’s health clinic, scheduling annual physical exams, hearing tests, and respirator evaluations.
- Manage the Medical Surveillance Program, audiological exams, exposure surveys, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or a related science field; alternatively HS Diploma with equivalent experience. - 2–5 years of Health & Safety experience in industrial, power, or manufacturing environments; or a minimum of 5 years Occupational Health and Safety experience in a Power Plant or related industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926, VPP, and related state safety and health regulations in a Power Plant, Waste‑to‑Energy, or industrial setting.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb ladders, lift or carry up to 50lb. Work from heights and in confined spaces; qualify to wear a full‑face respirator. Work in various weather conditions.
ShiftMonday through Friday. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a non‑routine basis, if needed, to support facility operations.

Reworld is committed to paying staff equitably. The base pay range for this role in the primary location is $87,300.00 – $ USD. Final salary offered will depend on experience, education, location, skills, and other factors.
