About the Role

The Gillette World Shaving Headquarters seeks licensed Second‑Class Engineer Control Room Operators to manage power generation equipment within our South Boston Manufacturing Center. The role requires operating and maintaining critical power generation systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain 7.2MW co‑generation combined cycle steam turbines, boilers, chills, compressed air, vacuum, and process water systems.
  • Perform routine operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for power generation equipment.
  • Conduct water treatment processes and permit compliance testing.
  • Monitor system performance, identify and address operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with plant teams to support continuous production and meet performance goals.
Job Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts Second‑Class Engineering License, maintained throughout employment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating and maintaining major power plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of compressed air systems, chillers, turbines, boilers, RO, seawater/process water/waste water systems.
  • Physical ability to use hand and power tools, lift 50lbs, climb stairs and ladders, stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work any shift and to rotate between shifts as required.

Job Schedule

Full time; 7‑day operation. Shift hours vary from 8 to 12 hours per day. Rotations may include single straight shift or multiple rotating shifts. Weekend work may be required as overtime or part of the regular schedule.
