ECA SOLAR is a leading developer of large-scale community solar energy facilities across twelve states, throughout New England, Mid-Atlantic (i.e. Maryland) and the Mid-West (i.e. Illinois). ECA is founded and managed by solar veterans with years of proven success in developing, financing and commissioning large scale energy facilities. ECA has been in business over eleven (11) years and is often listed as a top ten independently owned development platform in the clean energy industry.
Our Company has Finance and Development groups in Waltham MA (Headquarters) and Engineering and Technical professionals in our Waltham and Nashua, NH office.
Due to our ongoing interest in deploying investment capital in solar and energy storage assets we are seeking to hire a Project Development Associate. Our ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, thrive in ambiguity and have a high level of social intelligence. Our business involves interfacing with high level business professionals, financiers, gov’t and corporate customers.
The primary responsibilities include:
-Acquiring real estate, primarily for purchase or lease that is suitable for solar development.
-Securing revenue for the clean energy assets, including but not limited to power purchase agreements, REC agreements, as well as anchor off-takers for community solar projects
-Coordinating with the company’s finance teams, electrical and civil engineering teams.
-Utilizing Smart Sheets to accomplish the other enumerated responsibilities.
In addition, you will be expected to facilitate our work in developing projects by assisting with office management, visiting our project sites, and managing deadlines associated with these activities. Leveraging your skills to keep ECA Solar at the forefront of our development efforts can take on many different forms. Emergent leadership is encouraged and rewarded.
You might be perfect if you:
- Are good at creating things and organization.
- Routinely feel as if there is more to do and learn of your own accord
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant coursework or job experience related to energy and the environment, this could be traditional power, renewables or battery.
- Ability to deliver work product in accordance with published expectations
- Smart Sheet
- Financial modeling skills
- Client/customer facing experience in sales, service or support preferred
- Interest and proficiency building business relationships
Permanent full-time hybrid role based at our Waltham office Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)
Currently 3 days in-office summer, 4 days in office in other seasons.
Compensation :Full Time Salary starting at $72,000 USD
